The Fort Bayou Volunteer Fire Department is a professional volunteer fire department located on the Mississippi Gulf coast. Our mission is to provide quality fire protection and EMS service (as available) to the citizens of our community as well as those in the surrounding areas through mutual aid agreements. Our membership of over 40 men and women serve the areas of St Martin, Latimer, and Larue 24/7, 365. We are a combination department that operates out of 3 main stations and 3 substations. We are mostly volunteer, but are staffed with 9 paid firefighters who work 24 hr shifts.
